Dominic Williams talks about “self-writing Internet” (Web sites created by AI agents, rather than directly by people) at Keynote at Davos 2025. Dominic argues that creating an ICP-blockchain-based site is easier for an AI than a traditional site, and that the result site will be better (more secure and reliable, using a mathematically secured network protocol) this way:
If you think that AI puts end on other (non-AI) kinds of software, you mistake. Software will survive, but it will be written by AI. When the world stabilizes after the AI revolution that happens now, it will be so: AI agents will write software to be used by this or other AI agents through an API (not a user interface that only people need). That’s so, because for specific tasks special-purpose software (more reliable and secure, faster, less energy-expensive) will always be better than general-purpose AI. So, AI will choose to create something that is better than itself for specific tasks – specialized software.
We, at IC Pack further enhance this plan by adding that AI agents will use our software. It is both for people and for AI. And future AI agents will find ways to use IC Pack (through IC Pack API – yet to be published) to create secure applications keeping AI-processed data for use by the same agent or other agents, just like as people install an app on a phone, both people and AI will use IC Pack app stores to install apps right into a blockchain, for maximum security and reliability that we all (people and AI agents) need.
Enjoy our software written not only for people but for AI agents, too. Well, people are now our first priority.
